Episode 34

It was the first time ever since I was born that I saw such a sad aura. A deep melancholy incomparable to Lancel’s aura, mourning the death of Camille. ‘What is making her so sad?’ Just looking at Veronica’s deep blue aura, rolling like the waves, made me feel so depressed.  “Don’t be shad. Eat bread. Sister can eat ith all.” I thrust the bread again at the girl who did not take the bread I was extending, but continued to stare at me. A person needs to have a full stomach to endure his sorrow. Veronica, who looked about sixteen, was skinny like a piece of wood, so it was a bit pitiable to look at.  ‘Liatris isn’t poor like Dahlia, this is weird.’ The bread I was giving her was also the bread that Yuric brought.  ‘Children should eat well!’ Veronica might be on the older side among the Lagrange children, but if she was in my past life, she would look like a high school girl who still wears her school uniform to go to school.  I used to go hungry when I was her ...

Episode 33

Veronica smiled as smoothly as if drawn like a painting at Dietrich's blunt words.  Most people could not speak properly because of her sugar-sweet appearance. The same was true no matter how young the boys were. “Hm. I like cats more than dogs though.” She was the only candidate for successor officially adopted by Lagrange solely for her dazzling appearance, and the poison Liatris carefully raised. “Get rid of Alphonse.” But even with Veronica’s pretty voice, like marbles rolling on the floor, Dietrich only reacted sourly. [T/N: Uhm, I guess the sound of marbles rolling on the floor sounds enchanting? Isn’t that like a shrill sound? I would also react sourly like Detrie. Lol.] He always turned his back on her beauty, showing no emotion. Veronica, while staring at Dietrich’s back disappearing without saying any farewells, wrinkled her nose and turned her head. “Did you look into that child Anissa?” Her pride was hurt by the fact that Lagrange had a child who wouldn’t move ac...

Episode 32

But Yuric was a child who was only ten years old. In the original story, he failed to establish a position in Lagrange because he could not sign a contract even with the lowest shadow demon to become an adult. ‘With Dietrich's help, Yuric signed the contract with Amon but that was after he became the Grand Duke.' “Haa.” Yuric quickly hugged me, who was lying on the floor. I raised my head up at his deep sigh.  “Yuri?” “Don’t stay here. It’s dangerous.” Yuric carried me over the wall with just one leap. In the forest of withered roses, I can see Marilyn fidgeting around in her place.  “Here.” “.....Malilyn?” (Marilyn?) “Princess!” She was looking for me, and came up in a hurry and looked at me.  “Where have you been!” “Malilyn…” “Heavens! Are you hurt anywhere?!” At Marilyn’s question full of panic, that’s when I looked down on myself. There were scratches of thorns and small cuts on my fair skin.  ‘Uh. I think it hurts more now that I’m aware of it.’ When I frowned a...
